ΑΝΑΚΟΙΝΩΣΗ – Ολοκλήρωση των τελευταίων εργασιών στα διαμερίσματα φιλοξενίας και άλλες υπηρεσίες για τις ευάλωτες γυναίκες αιτούσες άσυλο

Η ΑΡΣΙΣ – Κοινωνική Οργάνωση Υποστήριξης Νέων υλοποιεί το πρόγραμμα «ΔΙΑΠΛΟΥΣ», που χρηματοδοτείται μέσω του προγράμματος ΑΣΥΛΟ και ΜΕΤΑΝΑΣΤΕΥΣΗ – EEA GRANTS (ΕΟΧ) υπό την αιγίδα των ΣΟΛ-CROWΕ και HUMAN RIGHTS 360. Στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος ξεκίνησε και η λειτουργία τριών διαμερισμάτων με δεκαέξι (16) θέσεις φιλοξενίας στην πόλη της Θεσσαλονίκης για ευάλωτες γυναίκες αιτούσες άσυλο και των ανήλικων παιδιών τους. Η χρονική διάρκεια του προγράμματος είναι δώδεκα (12) μήνες με προοπτική επέκτασης και στοχεύει να συνδράμει στο ευρύτερο ζήτημα έλλειψης προσφερόμενων θέσεων φιλοξενίας και εξειδικευμένων υπηρεσιών. Το πρόγραμμα απευθύνεται σε ευάλωτες γυναίκες μονήρεις ή μονογονείς αιτούσες άσυλο, οι οποίες διαβιούν σε επισφαλείς συνθήκες.

Μέσα στο Νοέμβριο και κάτω από πολύ δύσκολες συνθήκες λόγω των αυστηρών περιοριστικών μέτρων για τον περιορισμό της διάδοσης του COVID-19, η ομάδα του ΔΙΑΠΛΟΥΣ ολοκλήρωσε και τις τελευταίες εργασίες σε δυο ακόμη διαμερίσματα φιλοξενίας ευάλωτων γυναικών αιτουσών άσυλο. Διεξάγοντας, παράλληλα, διαδικτυακές και δια ζώσης συνεντεύξεις πραγματοποίησε μεταξύ Νοεμβρίου και Δεκεμβρίου την τοποθέτηση συνολικά  (14) δεκατεσσάρων ωφελούμενων. Μέσα σε μια γενικευμένη συνθήκη αβεβαιότητας εφτά (7) γυναίκες και εφτά (7) παιδιά κατάφεραν να στεγαστούν και να αποκτήσουν ένα πλήρες πλαίσιο υποστήριξης.

Συγκεκριμένα, το πρόγραμμα προσφέρει υπηρεσίες ψυχολογικής, ψυχοκοινωνικής, νομικής και εργασιακής υποστήριξης μέσα από ατομικές και ομαδικές διαδικασίες συμβουλευτικής με υποστήριξη διερμηνέων. Ο απώτερος στόχος του προγράμματος είναι η ολιστική στήριξη, η ενδυνάμωση των φιλοξενούμενων γυναικών και η ανάπτυξη μιας αίσθησης εσωτερικού ελέγχου ώστε να νιώσουν δυνατές για να πάρουν τη ζωή στα χέρια τους. Παράλληλα, το πρόγραμμα εστιάζει στην απόκτηση αυτονομίας και σταδιακής ανεξαρτησίας των ωφελούμενων και στην ομαλή ένταξή τους στην κοινότητα μέσω της διαπολιτισμικής εκπαιδευτικής διαδικασίας.

Completion of the latest work in the accommodation of vulnerable women asylum seekers and other services

ARSIS – Association for the Social Support of Youth is implementing the project “DIAPLOUS”, which is funded under the “Asylum and Migration” Programme, part of the EEA/Norway Grants 2014-2021, in collaboration with Human Rights 360 and SOL Consulting S.A.

As part of the “DIAPLOUS” project,  there are (16) accommodation places in three apartments in the broader area of Thessaloniki for vulnerable women asylum seekers and their underaged children. The duration of the program is (12) months with a possibility of extension. The project addresses the lack of adequate accommodation places and specific services for vulnerable women and their children. The program is orientated towards vulnerable women asylum seekers, who are singles or single-parents and live under precarious conditions.

During November and under very difficult circumstances due to the restrictive measures against the spread of COVID-19, DIAPLOUS team completed the pending repairs in two more apartments for vulnerable asylum seekers women. At the same time, DIAPLOUS team conducted online and in-person interviews and as a result, during November and December, (14) fourteen beneficiaries were admitted to the program. Under a general condition of uncertainty (7) seven women and (7), seven children managed to have decent accommodation and be provided with a support network.

In specific, the program offers psychological, psychosocial, legal support and job counselling through individual and group sessions with the support of translators. The fundamental purpose of the program is the holistic support, the empowerment of the beneficiaries and the development of an inner sense of control in order to feel strong and take the control of their lives. Moreover, the program focuses on their autonomy, their gradual independence and their integration in the community through intercultural educational activities.
