INCREASE – Interdisciplinary competence development for youth workers in residential youth care and crisis intervention centers

INCREASE is a two year project (September 2015 – September 2017), supported by the Strategic Partnerships Erasmus+ Programme, which focuses on innovation and cross-sectoral cooperation in the field of youth and education.

In order to avoid the above displacement of young people this project is focused on identifying the skills gap and the demand for further training of staff in residential youth care homes. In particular this project is looking at developing a training curriculum on areas of multidisciplinary anamnesis and diagnosis, targeted intervention and cooperation and networking amongst services.

TWELVE

TWELVE – Promoting the implementation of Article 12 of the CRC in the juvenile justice system, 10.2014 / 03.2016- the aim of the project is the monitoring of the implementation of the Article 12 of Convention of Child’s Rights. The main goal of the project TWELVE is to contribute to the implementation of article 12 of the CRC, in line with the General Comment No. 14 (2013) of the CRC, in the field of JJ at the European level by developing a multidisciplinary training process aimed at strengthening and harmonising the skills and capacities of professionals in addressing children’s rights and specific needs as a key element of an appropriate, efficient and inclusive action. The project will focus on the context of criminal proceedings. The main outcome of this project will be a multidisciplinary training program addressed to professionals working with children in conflict with the law in the context of judicial proceedings. The training program will be based on the consultations with children and professionals as well as on relevant international and European standards. Based on a human-rights approach, the initiative itself will consider the participation of children as a core element that will inform all the other components and outcomes of the project. A participatory, multidisciplinary and holistic methodology will be adopted in order to contribute to the implementation of a comprehensive JJ in Europe.​

You are not alone! Action for the protection of unaccompanied minors (en)

ARSIS- Association for the Social Support of Youth implements the project «You are not alone! Action for the protection of unaccompanied minors”, funded by Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (U.DI.), under the bilateral funds of EEA Grants.

The aim of the project is the creation of an operational framework for the shelters for unaccompanied minors asylum seekers in Greece, that until today operate without one, fact that hinders the work of organizations that operate these accommodation structures.

In order to achieve this goal, a series of activities has been scheduled, including the seeking and collection of operational frameworks from other European countries, the communication with the Ministry of Labour, which is the  administrative authority for the shelters for unaccompanied minors asylum seekers that operate in the framework of “METOIKOS” program and the exchange of good practices between ARSIS and two Norwegian organization with vast experience in the reception and accommodation of minors, Norwegian People’s Aid and Hero Norge.
