“German Doctors e.V. helps improve the health conditions of refugees (with extra focus on UAMs and children)”

Duration: November 2020 – October 2022

ARSIS – Social Youth Support Organization with the support of and in collaboration with German Doctors e.V. provides primary health services to the refugee population in Northern Greece.

Volunteer Doctors of various specialties come to Greece from Germany to provide the refugee population with primary health services, addressing the significant issue of the lack of access to adequate health services for hundreds of refugees, and especially children.

Each volunteer stays in Greece for approximately a 6-week period. On a stable basis, the project provides two volunteers, supported by a Greek doctor, a social scientist, and cultural interpreters, who make visits in accommodation and care facilities for children (Shelters, SafeZones, SIL apartments), receive appointments in ARSIS’ Social Service in Monastiriou 12, in Thessaloniki, and organize informative sessions on health issues.
