WELCOME TO THE EUROPEAN CONFERENCE ON OUTREACH WORK
Working together to reach and empower marginalized youth
Oslo, Norway 3-4 April 2014
The City of Oslo, Agency for Social and Welfare Services, Competence Centre are pleased to welcome you to the European Conference on Outreach Work, 2014. The main focus will be on how outreach workers understand, meet and engage with various groups of marginalized youth. The conference will also explore how new patterns of poverty and migration will shape new possibilities and challenges for young people in the margin of society. The conference takes place in Oslo, 3 – 4 April, 2014.
The conference will provide lectures with prominent speakers. Among these are: Walter Lorenz (Italy), Kate Picket (United Kingdom), Asun Berne (Spain), Axel Phol (Germany), Valbona Hystuna (Greece) and Hau-Lin Tam (Hong Kong). Beside the plenary sessions, the conference offers a wide range of practical workshops where outreach workers from across Europe will share and discuss their experiences. There will also be possibilities for study visits as part of the conference. We arrange a conference party on the first night of the conference.
